Level 1 - Discovery

This level is about discovering new things on a surface level that you might have never known about the other player(s).

Level 2 - Dig Deeper

This level is all about digging deeper into more difficult questions and truly getting to understand the person across from you in a way that not many others do.

Level 3 - Connection

The final level is all about connecting on an even deeper level through questions that are rarely asked between players.

Starting with the first level, each player takes turns asking and answering questions from the deck. Players must ask and answer at least 3 questions before progressing to the next level.

Players take turns drawing cards, and whoever draws gets to ask the question to any player of choice. The player who answers the question gets to draw the next card. Oldest player starts the game!

Shnookums is designed to be played whether it's just you and someone else, a family gathering, a group of friends, or even by yourself!

Our personal preference - playing with just you and someone else makes the conversations much more intimate where in a larger group, you might not be willing to share as much (totally okay)

That being said - we've even heard stories of people playing our game by themselves as a form of self-reflection, families playing around the dinner table & groups of friends playing together to bond on a deeper level!
